Kit Lists

During static camps, we use the main camp as a base for activities.

• Bed roll/Ground mat

• Sleeping bag

• Wear hiking boots & necker

• Small backpack for hike

• Reusable 1L water bottle

• Snack/energy bars for hike

• Waterproof jacket & trousers

• Warm hat & gloves

• Buff/Small scarf

• Pj's/onesy

• Toothbrush & toothpaste

• Towel

• Torch/headtorch

• 1-2 extra changes of warm clothes

• Under armour type baselayer for hike - no cotton

• 3+ pairs of extra socks

• Spare runners

• Plastic bag for wet/dirty clothes

• Tea towel

• Bowel, cup & cutlery

• Medication, together with consent form be in a labeled zip lock bag and handed to leader

• Bin bags(consider wrapping bags/sleeping bags in bin liners if weather is looking wet.)

Walking camps the scout will be carrying everything on their back, so it's important to pack light. 

• A large ruck sack to carry all your equipment

• Lightweight Tent (provided by Scouts) 

• Ground mat/Bed roll

• Sleeping bag

• Wear hiking boots & necker

• Snacks/energy bars

• 2 reusable water bottles

• Water purification tablets

• Water proof jacket & trousers

• Pair of gaiters

• Warm hat & gloves

• Torch/headtorch

• Buff/Small scarf

• Toothbrush/toothpaste

• Small towel

• Small spade and toilet paper

• An extra change of clothes

• Suitable baselayer

• Extra socks for doubling up

• Plastic bag for wet/dirty clothes

• Camping stove (provided by Scouts)

For camps abroad it's important that bags are packed as securely as possible to avoid lost equipment.
